WEBINAR:

EDITOR ANDREW KARRE
Dutton Books for Young Readers/ Penguin Random House

FIRST PAGES: EMBRACING STRATEGIC CONFUSION
Middle Grade & Young Adult

From Andrew Karre:
“I’ll outline my thoughts on how we tend to overestimate the value of information in opening chapters when what we really should strive for is intrigue—something that often requires disciplined withholding of information and strategic use of confusion.”

Learn from an experienced editor, in the comfort of your home, either live or on your own time. After his talk, Andrew will field questions. Registrants will be welcome to submit one MG or YA fiction or nonfiction manuscript to Andrew for one year following the webinar. Instructions on how to access the webinar (and submit work after) will be emailed several days prior to April 10.
